Moreso than “how”… I concern myself with “why”.
What exactly are our goals for the future?
Working broadly down to the specific:
Developing conceptual hierarchy and executing.
Whereby, the underlying desire is to shift the power structure to something more universally democratic-more generally involving. That we have opportunity to support the causes we deem fit and NOT support what we do not agree with.
Are arbiters required? In a world attending mostly to posting and commenting on pictures/consuming entertainment… yes — they are truly unfit to make large scale, tremendous implication decisions as they are woefully unaware of the variables and would rather watch cartoons than calculate possible societal outcomes.
Let them watch cartoons?
By democratizing systems without arbitration… we enable the societal “end user” to take part — directly-in the formation of complex decision making/strategizing. Given the opportunity I am well certain the attention of many would draw away from “cartoons” and they would grow to some degree more informed in a general sense .
As such, the underlying desire of a power structure shift is realized as people take upon themselves the power of directly democratized decision. Thus, talking suits spouting “I’m on your side” are less likely to gain unquestioned loyalty.. and perhaps, in general, we would begin to see an increase in responsible action.
This is more or less “why” setting such ideals in motion becomes worthwhile. Exactly our implementation — particularly in dealing with established institutions — is a matter of great debate. If we may agree upon deeply correlated goals, we may be able to find common ground upon the new horizon.
